After working in horticulture for nearly two decades, I decided to go to graduate school at Colorado State University's for a Master of Natural Resource Stewardship with a focus on ecological restoration because of my passion for the natural world. While never having any formal photography training, I have always been drawn to photographing wildlife, natural landscapes, and plants. This led me to take a photojournalism class through CSU to help me learn the basics of photography to improve skills to be better able to capture the natural world in a way that would connect other people to the environment.
This portfolio is an example of the photography I have produced through CSU's JTC-335 photojournalism class. But as I produce more work, I hope to expand the content on this website to focus more on natural and restored ecosystems, their inhabitants, and bring to light environmental issues. |
